Atchafalaya Measurement Merges with Southern Petroleum Laboratories

Tampa, Florida – January 8, 2019 – KLH Capital is pleased to announce that Atchafalaya Measurement, Inc. ("AMI" or the “Company”) has merged with Southern Petroleum Laboratories, Inc. (“SPL”), a portfolio company of Industrial Growth Partners (“IGP”).  Nick Trahan, Shane Daigle, and other key members of AMI’s senior leadership team have partnered with SPL to form one of the largest providers of the oil and gas measurement services in the space.

Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Scott, Louisiana, AMI is a full-service liquid and gas measurement provider offering critical installation and recurring calibration services to E&P and pipeline operators.  AMI has locations in Louisiana, Texas, and New Mexico and serves customers across the Permian Basin, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, and Marcellus/Utica Shale.

“We very much appreciate our partnership and ongoing relationship with the KLH team,” said Nick Trahan, President of AMI.  “KLH was instrumental in facilitating a smooth transition from the Company’s founders while positioning Shane and me to grow in our careers, lead the organization, and build upon AMI’s successful heritage.  We are excited about the opportunities that this new partnership with SPL provides.”

James Darnell, Partner at KLH, commented, “We could not be happier about the outcome of this transaction.  The combination of AMI with SPL and the backing of Industrial Growth Partners creates a significant platform with meaningful runway for growth.  The partnership is a testament to the work that Nick, Shane, and the rest of the team have put into the business over the past five years."

AMI is a perfect illustration of KLH’s mission to unlock value and enable growth in businesses.  KLH facilitated a liquidity event for AMI’s founders and simultaneously protected their legacy by empowering junior members of the management team to step-up and lead the Company forward.  From there, KLH helped AMI accelerate growth by implementing new systems, increasing productivity through technology, and acquiring a complementary business, altogether transforming AMI into a leader in its industry.
